"Honecker und der Pastor" is the title of the film that ZDF is producing together with Liefers' production company "Radio Doria Film". It tells the true story of how, in January 1990, the pastor Uwe Holmer took in the deposed GDR leader and his wife at his home in Lobetal near Bernau, granting them both church asylum.
