I once heard a quote about a penguin in the desert. The penguin is exactly right as it is — just unfortunately in completely the wrong place. That was me, only not in the desert: and while I, the penguin, was stacking shelves while humming, helping out in a care home, or working with children — because I had been firmly told to do something "sensible" — it became clear to me that those weren't the right places for the penguin either. So where should I go? I can swim, but I'm even better at kicking on a football pitch and playing as part of a team. So I'd say playing is my element, and acting has, in a way, become my ocean — my right place. There I can pour in my energy, follow impulses, dive into the depths of my characters, and then come back up snorting with happiness. So I'm a wild and very passionate penguin with plenty of power and joy in my flippers. And, like most of my kind, I'm happiest when I'm together with my own — whether on set, on the pitch, or at home.
