Author and director Joachim Masannek is planning his novel adaptation with Dieter Hallervorden and Michelle Monballijn. The wonderful photos are by Stefan Gesell. Dieter Hallervorden is Kurz Null Null Zero If you were to call the Short Ones "dwarves", they would instantly slit open your belly and throat. That is why they are also known as "belly-slitters". They live in the halls of Drachenherz, guarding the dreams of the dragon and many other secrets. The rest of the time they are above all vain crooks and thieves. Their leader calls himself "the Melon-Bearer". His name is Kurz Null Null Zero and he is the only Short One who bears the double zero. Michelle Monballijn is Sally Wild Blanche Is Sally Wild Blanche a mighty ruler? In a sense, yes. Sally is the voice of the Light Ones. But she is not a ruler who fights with weapons. Her powers are faith, love and hope. She comes closest to the fire — the fire that fills life with love, the force that, besides the dragon, only one other possesses: the human being. One day, the then 13-year-old PSP Charly, playing pirates on the Teufelsseekanal in Berlin-Spandau, finds a small metal box containing six diaries in which the writer Michael Klondeik tells the story that can save the world. PSP Charly, who would so love to be a hero, is thrilled by this tale. Because he is addicted to his PlayStation Portable, he stops going to school and instead recreates the story as a computer shoot-'em-up, fighting for three long years alongside Galahad, the son of Lancelot and Genevra, with Sally Wild Blanche, the voice of the Light Ones, with Kurz Null Null Zero and Freddie the Freak against the evil from Wildernacht. But then comes the day when Charly realises that Klondeik's story is not invented. It is real and true, and because it is, the final level no longer takes place digitally, but right there in his own Berlin, where evil is already more powerful than he can possibly imagine.
