The Real-Time Drama

The Real-Time Drama

"Im Auge des Betrachters" was indeed shot in spring 2017 in 88 minutes of real time. A family dramedy: they want to celebrate the father's birthday, but increasingly grate against old conflicts. There are no cuts across the entire length of the film, a major challenge for the actors. The camera takes on the role of the mother; the viewer is right there in the thick of it. Now "Point of View" is being shown at film festivals around the world: in Delhi and Mumbai at the Jagran Festival, at the Bucharest Film Awards, in Sofia at the Independent Filmfestival, and soon in Turkey and Mexico. Uta Krüger: "We managed everything ourselves and financed it through modest crowdfunding. Our hero is the director! From the first letter to the last colour correction, everything we see and hear comes from him! We acted, spent several weeks in the seclusion of a small Baltic seaside village and gave ourselves entirely to what we wanted to tell. My character Anne is the middle daughter, who keeps trying to mediate until it just isn't possible any longer…"Director: Otwin Biernat Production: Peggy Sue Production
