Julia Ueno's life as an actress is filled more with being in front of the camera herself than with dubbing work, which makes it all the more remarkable that for „Tokyo Shaking" she was able to lend her voice to the Japanese lead character Kimiko.
The French banker Alexandra Pacquart has only just arrived in Tokyo in 2011 when the earthquake and tsunami trigger a meltdown at the Fukushima nuclear power plant: Tokyo faces the threat of nuclear contamination. In the chaos that swiftly unfolds, she must decide whether, like her French colleagues, she will leave the country, or take responsibility for her Japanese staff, even if it means risking her own life.
