When Sergeant Dimpfelmoser fails to catch the thief, Kasperl and Seppel decide to take matters into their own hands. With a clever trick they manage to find the secret robbers'' den. But there they are overpowered by Hotzenplotz and forced to work as his servants. Only with the help of the fairy Amaryllis do they finally win their freedom.
