For "Die Stadt der Träume", three threads were spun into a single one on the loom of the imagination — a single thread whose colourfulness, intellectual refreshment, fun and joy, and indeed thoughtfulness, is hard to surpass. For this evening, Kratz drew his ideas from Javier Tomeo's "Die Taubenstadt", from Italo Calvino's "Die unsichtbaren Städte" and from Federico Fellini's "Das Buch der Träume". The Stuttgarter Nachrichten on Andreas Klaue: "The spectator cannot escape the pull of the stories, and between profane yet mysterious, even magical pigeons and the oppressiveness of an empty city, this Fellini takes notes through his world, which quickly becomes the spectator's own. Andreas Klaue shows once again that he is simply the actor who can bring the striking figures Kratz creates to a seemingly self-evident existence, however bizarre and mystical it may be." Staging: Peter Kratz. Costumes: Pina Sophia Starke. Set: Enno Craiss Until 24 July at the Ludwigsburg Theatersommer with Andreas Klaue and Anja Barth.
