On Sunday, 21 February 2016, at 8.15 pm on Das Erste, the Tatort "Im Gelobten Land" with Ernest Allan Hausmann has its premiere. A topical socio-political subject had already been written before reality caught up with the script: the fate of smuggled refugees, hidden in lorries by unscrupulous traffickers and brought across the German border into the "promised land" — for an exorbitant sum, of course. The television thriller asks how far criminal smugglers will go to save themselves and sacrifice the lives of the refugees. Ernest Allan Hausmann belongs to the police, not to the refugees.
