The first Vietnamese role for Nhung Hong — and such a moving one at that! Nhung plays 17-year-old Mai, a young Vietnamese woman who falls victim to illegal human trafficking and is brought to Germany this way. The little she earns she sends to her family back in Vietnam. Eventually Mai manages to escape her tormentors and meets a new friend: 11-year-old Linh. Together the two now face the question: family or freedom?
