Jörg Westphal celebrated the premiere of the investigative thriller Staatsschutz at the Berlinale
With state resources and state authority, young public prosecutor Seyo Kim sets out to confront right-wing violence in East Germany. When she herself comes under threat and survives a racist attack, she decides — against the explicit instructions of her authority — to bring one of the perpetrators to trial. Jörg Westphal plays the judge presiding over the court proceedings.
