RTL's new eight-part comedy series "Mirella Schulze rettet die Welt" centres on an environmentally conscious 13-year-old and her family, who could hardly care less about the planet.
Her sister Maya is a beauty queen, her brother a fast-food junkie and her parents work in distinctly un-green professions: what could possibly go wrong?
The family is very well cast, says Deutschlandfunk. Ella Lee as the older sister is a particular standout. "Her timing is rock-solid and she lands her punchlines right on the mark." Rheinische Post: "Even though Mirella is at the centre, the roles of her older, hard-bitten sister Maya (Ella Lee) and her tall, not-too-bright brother Mats (Maximilian Ehrenreich) are developed with the same care."
