"Die unglaubliche Tragödie von Richard III." is the name of the comedy loosely based on Shakespeare, by and starring Michael Niavarani, which was revived at the Globe Wien on 18 March — and our Viennese girl Eva-Maria is once again right in the middle of the spectacle, for which we promise you a great deal: Several murders. Torture. A whore. Two little princes in the Tower. A marriage proposal. An old, grumpy queen. Plenty of English wine. A few beers. A juicy plum. A desperate flight. A piece of dry bread. A coronation complete with anthem. A battle at Bosworth. Real stage blood. A severed head. A prayer to God the Lord. A handful of well-dressed noblemen. Dirty fingernails. And a declaration of love to friendship.
