Katzenelnbogen is the charming name of a village chosen as the setting for sinister crimes in the new Rhein-Lahn crime film "Jammertal". This feature-film series is produced by Etienne Heimann - at 20, officially Germany's youngest producer - and directed by Thomas Veit. Birge Funke plays cool chief inspector Antje Hollweg, and to come across as truly tough she has spent weeks practising taekwondo, shooting and hair-raising handbrake turns in the police car.
