You can see Ilja Richter on Sunday 17 November 2013 at 8.15 pm on ZDF in the Rosamunde Pilcher adaptation "Alte Herzen rosten nicht". The title may suggest one of the usual schmaltzy affairs, but it is nothing of the sort. This film is a charming, witty and decidedly un-kitschy homage to the loves of later life, and it is cheerful and full of cheeky dialogue to boot. The backdrop is, of course, just as you see it in the picture here: incredible that such places of longing actually exist! Director: Helmut Metzger.
