Nadine Heidenreich films "The Heavy Load"

This summer Nadine Heidenreich is filming the short "The Heavy Load" with the young director Joshua Krull. "The Heavy Load" tells the story of an 11-year-old boy who wants to help his very ill mother by appearing in a real cinema film. Eleven-year-old JIMMY SPENCER doesn''t have much in common with the children in his neighbourhood. So day after day he plays alone in his room with his made-up siblings, giving them names and voices. Only when Jimmy joins a theatre group does he discover the joy of playing together with other children, and his parents see him as a happy child for the first time. When Jimmy''s mother, JIL, falls gravely ill, the boy''s world falls apart. Desperate, he searches for something that might help his mother. He finally hits on the grand idea of acting in a film. Jimmy believes his mother will now do everything she can to get well and admire him in his film. With enormous commitment, Jimmy pursues his plan. But the dream soon threatens to burst, with ever new obstacles placed in the boy''s path — until he meets a very special person. The Scottish actor Gary Lewis, known from films such as "Billy Elliot" and "Gangs of New York", was won for the leading role.
