In late June 2014, the first clapperboard fell in Hopsten for the RTL movie "Witwenmacher", produced by Zeitsprung Pictures GmbH. The film is set in the early 1960s. In the midst of the Cold War, Germany stands on the front line against the enemy from the East. The still-young Bundeswehr buys the most modern fighter aircraft money can buy anywhere in the world in a multi-billion deal: the Starfighter. It marks the beginning of one of the greatest military scandals of post-war Germany: 116 pilots lost their lives. The director is Miguel Alexandre, with whom Michael Schernthaner has often worked before, most recently in 2011 on the MDR "Tatort" episode "Todesbilder".
