In the end comes the victory: an Echo for best national music video. Bam, there it is, the winner's trophy for "Take Me for a Ride"! After all, the band Von Wegen Lisbeth, all the actors, extras and the crew gave it everything. At the start there was a kind of marathon ahead of them: 30 degrees, blazing sun and a 360-degree setting. Everyone involved was arranged in a circle and had to begin performing on exactly the right timing. A challenge, especially when you are Maximilian Diehle and were hired specifically to run prettily once around the whole scene. But once is hardly the word: 14 times! And beforehand, out on the Tempelhofer Feld, he had to show what he could do as a runner, because his pace had to be matched precisely to the length of the song. Then it was off to Rummelsburger Bucht and the call came: 'Action.' Once, twice, three times… Maximilian Diehle ran and ran. He kept running even when the sweat was already pouring off his body in torrents and water was standing in his shoes. "During the shoot I flagged at some point. I couldn't keep up the time I'd managed in rehearsal for long. Even though it was a sweaty business, it was still huge fun. There was a really open, relaxed atmosphere on set and, above all, everyone was up for it." The shoot didn't just push Maximilian Diehle forward in terms of fitness — it also gave him a taste for the band's music. From time to time he happily hums along to their songs. Ever since the Echo home run, all the more!
