We are delighted that our fairy-tale film "Der Starke Hans" has been nominated for the 57th Grimme-Preis, and we take the "Special Nomination" for its convincing female characters as recognition for Bianca Nawrath, whose work brings a wonderfully strong character to the classic female role of a princess.
The film struck a chord with audiences young and old; it is funny and entertaining. At the same time, our story has a relevant, contemporary core, somewhere between Fridays for Future and feminism, deep in the enchanted forest.
The award winners will be announced on 11 May 2021. The ceremony is planned for 27 August 2021.
