Carlotta Truman in the Episode "Nordpol — Bis ans Ende der Welt"

Maxi's great-great-grandmother Fanny Roggenstroh was a researcher and, 120 years ago, one of the first people to reach the North Pole — but because she was a woman, the achievement was never widely recognised. Maxi, however, owns her great-great-grandmother's thrilling diary.

Maxi comes from a family in which the women were often "original characters", as her grandmother put it. As a result, the men tended to be stoics or did not stick around for long. Maxi hopes to do things a little differently; as the youngest representative in this line of strong women, she fights resolutely for recognition of their achievements. This is especially true of the accomplishments of her great-grandmother, that brave and adventurous explorer who was never once mentioned in the thoroughly male-focused research literature. With historical and feminist zeal, Maxi is determined to change that — and is waiting for the right opportunity.
