For its first Christmas campaign, LikeMeat brought on board a brand ambassador who rarely appears in advertising: Martin Semmelrogge. In the playful spot, he surprises with a woke attitude and shows that he has a flawless command of youth slang.

Our aging teenager is the star of the new LikeMeat Christmas campaign, with which the brand from the Livekindly stable beats the drum for its plant-based meat alternatives, touting them as the ideal substitute for the traditional, meat-heavy Christmas meal.

At the heart of the appearance is a 90-second online film in which Martin sits at the dinner table and, without pausing for breath, extols the virtues of the LikeMeat products. The clever twist: he dispels prejudices about his boomer generation by presenting himself not only as a woke flexitarian who no longer cares for meat, but also by dazzling with the deft use of hip youth slang:
