The Furies are eight women who represent only a small, exquisite selection from the repertoire of womankind. We get to observe them undisturbed in the wild — in a ladies' lavatory. And in doing so we learn why they act the way they do, why they really cannot do otherwise, why men have no chance of ever understanding it, and why women will never understand men either. "Die Furien" is a humorously serious attempt to discover and decode the species woman. Often words fail, but where language falters, songs help to express the unspeakable. This musical theatre evening on the 'phenomenon of woman' was conceived by Jochen Schölch, who is also responsible for the direction.
