HEIKOS WELT

HEIKOS WELT

Heiko's mother Gundula suffers from keratoconus and loses more and more of her eyesight until she finally goes completely blind. Only the costly corneal transplant from a deceased donor can save her from this. Gundula's son Heiko tries to raise the sum for the operation through pub darts and begins his odyssey between Hotel Mum and Berlin's pubs. Heiko is played by Martin Rohde, and Heiko's only contact and father figure is Tscherny, played by Hans-Jürgen Alf. Tscherny is happiest when Heiko brings him mince rolls, when Heiko comes to visit, when he can do something good for Heiko, when he drinks a cold beer with Heiko, when he is by the water (lake, ocean, sea), when the flowers in the garden bloom, when it rains on a warm summer's day.
