A riotously funny comedy with Heidi Jürgens at the Packhaustheater Bremen — a must even for those who are not football fans!
You can catch Heidi Jürgens twice today at the Packhaustheater Bremen in "Abseitsfalle", at 5 pm and at 8 pm. The play runs through to 26 July. Manfred Brenner is a successful radio sports journalist. His pet subject is football, which he commentates week after week in his powerful voice. All seems to be in perfect order — were it not for "Manni" Brenner's passion: gambling. A "dead cert" Oddset bet costs the football expert all his savings, and the family faces financial catastrophe. So an enquiry from a major media publisher comes at just the right moment. Manni and his football knowledge are to fill not only a book series but also a DVD and audiobook collection. Time is pressing, for the product is meant to reach the market in time for the upcoming international football tournament. That is why a competent editor has announced his first preliminary meeting at the Brenner house — and then it happens: Manfred Brenner slips on a neighbour's child's sandpit toy and suffers a concussion with consequences — he can no longer remember anything. His entire football knowledge has vanished too. "Temporary amnesia", their friend Dr Heinz Heckmann must conclude. What now? Mother Silvia has the saving idea: the family doctor — and total football novice — is to pass himself off as Manni the expert. The real Manni, in turn, is convincingly told that he is the family doctor! Total chaos seems inevitable… via Packhaustheater im Schnoor Bremen
