Hans Holzbecher is the bad-tempered landlord Mr Keifert in "Diese Kaminskis – Wir legen Sie tiefer!", a wickedly sharp parody of the standard docu-soap. From 5 November 2014, ZDFneo screens the docu-soap send-up as a series, every Wednesday from 9.45 p.m. As a comedy series about three good-for-nothing undertakers, "Diese Kaminskis" is of course laced with black, cynical humour. Since the punchlines centre not on death but on the stupidity of the main characters and the absurdity of docu-soaps, this TVLab production — featuring a self-deprecating, entertaining cameo by its show patron Simon Gosejohann — never comes across as too dry or tasteless. The scripts are by Torsten Fraundorf & Sven Nagel, with Sven Nagel directing.
