Charly is on the verge of his Abitur when, one morning, his pride and joy greets him not only standing to attention but actually talking! "Pimmel" — as Charly takes to calling him — refuses to leave him alone from that moment on, even at the most inopportune times, for he makes a promise: if Charly listens to him, he will not only finally lose his long-overdue virginity, but Pimmel will fulfil all his dreams! Charly, who really only wants to concentrate on his Abitur, has no other choice — because only once he has had his first time will Pimmel keep his mouth shut again.
The teen sex comedy HAMMERHARTE JUNGS offers an incredible amount of material for a turbulent feature full of gags, cringe and embarrassing situations about the absurdities of puberty — which are so much easier to bear when treated with comedy.
But it is also about universal themes such as coming of age, love, friendship and discovering one's own sexuality — because every new generation has to "wrestle" anew with the awakening of their libido and the changes in their own bodies. We meet our characters as equals and, for all the situational comedy, always take their worries seriously. And in the end, not only Charly but our viewers too come to realise that, whether the penis is supposedly too small or the labia supposedly too large: sexuality is not about meeting a norm, but about the fun of it — and you just have to dare to have it first.
