Maria Ketikidou: My aim is always a truthful portrayal
A thousand call-outs, a thousand acts of violence witnessed, a thousand fights — and then, all at once, this paralysing fear or panic takes complete hold of such an experienced police officer. This shock trauma triggers a temporary amnesia in Harry, a defence mechanism of the psyche.
The series GROSSSTADTREVIER has produced another gripping 90-minute film, and this one has turned out very special indeed. It deals with themes that affect us all personally. On one side, the film sheds light on the shortcomings of the healthcare system. On the other, it explores how we deal with our own fear and our own failure. We experience the drama up close through our central character, "Harry Möller". Maria Ketikidou plays the role impressively, proving once again why she is one of the defining figures of our "Großstadtrevier". But she is not alone: the entire "Großstadtrevier" team shows that it can captivate audiences with ever new and differently told stories.
