Arne Duppler's film "Gebranntes Kind" won the prize for Best European Short Film in Stockholm, and at the Sevilla Indie Film Festival the prize for Best Featurette — that is, the best mid-length film!
The film tells the story of a platonic love. Two seemingly unlike people become friends and find in each other support and a sense of belonging. Their pasts hold things in common — experiences of guilt and loss. Through their chance encounter, both are given the chance of forgiveness, inner as well as outer.
