Director Laura Fischer: Für immer Freibad is, for me, the perfect feel-good movie for the whole family. It takes every generation along on a journey back to the 1990s, dealing with universal themes of family and friendship that everyone knows. We follow our protagonist through two worlds: home with her parents, where it is all about the future and self-fulfilment, and the open-air pool, a colourful, madcap world where you can switch off and immerse yourself in the love stories.
