After a wonderful week as a juror for the Children's and Youth Film Prize at the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck, Lea Zoe Voss is over the moon. "After my favourite for the Youth Film Prize, the Finnish film 'Stupid Young Heart' directed by Selma Vilhunen, went on to win as well, I feel like a mother sharing a moment of joy with her child," reports Lea. "The film tackles social and political themes of our times. It's about right-wing extremism, discrimination, finding oneself, disillusionment, family crises, friendship, exclusion, rejection, love, endurance, perseverance and so much more. It's a reflection of society without a wagging moral finger or any rush to judgement. It gets under your skin and is emotionally gripping beyond words. I spent the last fifteen minutes simply in tears — tears of sadness, but also tears of joy. It's hard to describe exactly what you feel." Thank you, from Lea and from us, to the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck for this special experience! Photo: Lea Zoe Voss with director Selma Vilhunen
