Five weeks of filming in the heat of Australia — and yet it was a fantastic time for Amira Demirkiran, who, under difficult conditions but alongside a wonderful Schiwago Film team, mastered her first leading role here. Kira's mother Svenja has a job that constantly takes her to new places to work. Australia one time, Denmark the next. Kira is right in the thick of her teenage years and simply no longer wants to keep moving house all the time; she wants to put down roots and keep her friends for longer than half a year.
