The last photo Jessie (Carla Hüttermann) ever took shows the sun above Berlin. Shortly afterwards, Jessie is gone. Three people are left behind to live with it: Ella, her mother (Birgit Minichmayr). Melli, her little sister (Lotte Shirin Keiling). And Lux, the boy everyone blames (Tristán López). Unexpectedly, they find themselves together on Tenerife — beneath a sun that goes on shining, indifferent.
Sandra Wollner's “Everytime” was awarded the top prize in the Un Certain Regard competition at Cannes and now opens in German cinemas.
We are delighted that this extraordinary cinematic study of grief, unlike anything German cinema has seen before, celebrates its Berlin premiere on 5 August 2026 and opens nationwide on 6 August 2026.
