When film critic Allan Felix is left by his wife Nancy, his ego takes a hard knock. His friends Dick and Linda set out to find a new woman for him. But whenever Allan meets an attractive woman, he can't manage to relax — he only makes a fool of himself. His great idol Humphrey Bogart, who appears to him in moments of greatest need, is on hand with advice. Only late in the day does Allan realise that the one woman in whose company he can remain himself is his Linda. But Linda is the wife of his best friend. So there are still plenty of problems to be cleared up before they finally meet at the airport, and Allan relives, one last time, the famous closing scene from „Casablanca".
