Anton Petzold had never been as nervous as he was on Wednesday evening! He had been invited to deliver the laudatory speech for Karoline Herfurth at the presentation of the Ernst Lubitsch Prize. It was an enormous honour and a tremendous joy for him.
Beginning with "Rico, Oskar und die Tieferschatten" in 2013, Anton and Karoline filmed together as a mother-and-son duo in three consecutive feature films. To be able to present this award to his dear colleague, whom he deeply admires as both actress and director, was of course a very special joy for Anton.
