Anyone hurrying through the underground passages of our cities these days is met by large dark eyes that, serious and seemingly privy to a secret, draw passers-by under their spell. It is Ella Lee from the first German Netflix series DARK, which has been on air for a few days now. „Lies come to light, liars stay in the dark“,it reads in strange lettering, and we find this not only a particularly accomplished poster, but also most intriguing in light of the excerpts from the German Basic Law reflected in the glass above the poster from the wall tiles of Westhafen station. The photo was taken at the Berlin-Westhafen S-Bahn station, where the human rights enshrined in our Basic Law are written on the wall tiles.HUMAN DIGNITY SHALL BE INVIOLABLE can be read on the yellow wall, and it is written, too, in the eyes of the child behind the glass.
