A casting for a sketch that is already a cultural institution, with a leading pair sought at the very last minute to bring the bizarre story of that memorable 90th birthday to the stage.
Freddie Frinton and May Warden as the butler James and Miss Sophie remain unforgettable. The bar, then, is set high!
Andreas Klaue, who once again demonstrates his mastery of the art of tickling the funny bone alongside Monika Hirschle, has earned glowing reviews from the KULTURREPORT STUTTGART, which was allowed to sit in on the rehearsals:
"…many know the sketch by heart, and even they will not be disappointed, for by now Klaue would surely win the championship in stumbling over the tiger's head, and the nonchalance with which he pours the water from the flower vase down his throat is simply unbeatable."
So off to Stuttgart — the Swabian capital is well worth a trip from 25 November 2021 to 16 January 2022:
„Dinner for One – Wie alles begann“: preview 25 November, 8 pm, Komödie im Marquardt, tickets 07 11 / 22 77 00, schauspielbuehnen.de
