One receives it, the other gives the laudatory speech on 16 May in the Münchhausen town of Bodenwerder. The Münchhausen Prize of the town of Bodenwerder is intended to honour people of particular talent in the arts of performance and oratory, imagination and satire. It was founded in the Münchhausen year of 1997, marking the 200th anniversary of the historical Münchhausen's death. In Dieter Hallervorden, the 2014 Münchhausen Prize goes to one of the most successful and versatile artists in German-language entertainment — and it is presented by Ilja Richter, who is in no way his inferior in the art of satire, which is sure to make for a thoroughly delightful evening.
