"Goldene Kamera" for Dieter Hallervorden

For his life's work, Europe's largest weekly listings magazine honours actor Dieter Hallervorden with the GOLDENE KAMERA from HÖRZU. The artist will receive the award at the gala on Saturday, 2 February 2013. With the founding of the cabaret "Die Wühlmäuse" in 1960 — still active today — Dieter Hallervorden laid the cornerstone of his stage and television career. After roles in the media satire "Das Millionenspiel" and the TV thriller "Der Springteufel", he achieved his major breakthrough in 1975 with the comedy series "Nonstop Nonsens". As screenwriter and actor, he developed the character of "Didi" created there into a series of cinema films with titles such as "Didi – Der Doppelgänger". This 1984 production was for a long time among the most successful films in Germany. He also enjoyed success as a singer of humorous songs such as "Du, die Wanne ist voll" and as the host of TV shows like "Verstehen Sie Spaß?". Alongside all this, the multi-talented performer still found time to write several books. Since 2009, the 77-year-old has run Berlin's Schlosspark Theater as its artistic director. "Hallervorden is an exceptionally thoughtful and sensitive man who has lastingly influenced German political and social satire and shaped it with humour," says HÖRZU. The 48th presentation of HÖRZU's GOLDENE KAMERA takes place on Saturday, 2 February 2013, in the Ullstein-Halle at Berlin's Axel-Springer-Haus. ZDF broadcasts the gala, hosted by Hape Kerkeling, live from 8.15 pm.
