The Passion story is about precisely these values: for 2,000 years, the account of Jesus's death and resurrection has both challenged and fascinated people. And it is the common foundation of all Christian denominations worldwide.
With a star-studded line-up of well-known singers and actors, RTL stages the Easter story as a grand live music event shortly before Easter on 13 April, from 8:15 pm, on the Burgplatz in Essen.
"Die Passion" is a modern and unconventional portrayal of the final days in the life of Jesus Christ — brought to life and transported into the present day with the help of well-known pop songs.
Thomas Gottschalk guides the audience through the Passion story as narrator.
