Yesterday saw the final take! Since March, ITV Studios has been producing the first daily ProSieben series in 18 years at Schloss Haniel near Cologne.
This is Die Cooking Academy:
Across 120 episodes, it tells the story of young chef Irini (Lara Kimpel), who learns the high art of Michelin-star cuisine at the renowned Cooking Academy. But what awaits her at the Academy is not only fierce competition, but also an unexpected emotional turmoil between Chris (Brian Rosenkranz), the rebellious bad boy with a dark secret, and Rafael (Louis J. Wagenbrenner), the shy kitchen prodigy. Headmistress Felicitas Eichen (Simone Hanselmann) battles to keep the Cooking Academy running successfully despite financial straits — and at the same time to save her troubled marriage to star chef Alexander Eichen (Matthias Brüggenolte). How much personal sacrifice is Felicitas prepared to make in order not to lose either of the projects closest to her heart? Can Irini hold her own against her ambitious rivals?
