From 12 to 19 March, the German TV Crime Festival takes place in Wiesbaden. A great delight for any crime fan. That goes for Vivien Sczesny too, and her joy is all the greater because she is one of the four finalists for the award for emerging screenwriters.
Together with Hessen Film & Medien and TOP: Talente e.V., the festival is on the hunt for crime material for 90-minute films or mini-series. This year's brief: the invented crimes must be solved within 24 hours.
Short films, based on the sample scenes submitted by the emerging writers, are presented on the screen of the Caligari FilmBühne, performed by the actresses Taneshia Abt ("JGA") and Franziska von Harsdorf ("Der Pass 2"). The emerging writers are on hand to answer questions about their material. Screenwriter Richard Kropf names the winner at the festival's award ceremony.
We are keeping our fingers very firmly crossed for Vivien Sczesny and her screenplay idea KLÉPTEIN!
