Problem schools and kebab shops from the Wedding district are now available as a series and "on demand". Alongside TV classics such as "Breaking Bad" or "How I Met Your Mother", Berlin Netflix users can now watch the soap parody "Gutes Wedding, schlechtes Wedding" on Netflix. The series has made it into the "TV comedies" category. Placed in a line-up with "Better Call Saul" and "Stromberg", viewers can now get to know the northern Berlin trouble spot — at least in a somewhat exaggerated form. The four-parter follows the twin sisters Ulla and Penelope. They are separated at birth and grow up in different circumstances. The series picks up when Penelope is an esoteric Prenzlauer-Berg mum and Ulla a caretaker at a Wedding school. Time-lapse shots of Mauerpark and Leopoldplatz included. The Wedding parody from the Prime Time Theater is an RBB production and was broadcast in winter 2016 — a collaboration with Netflix had already been in the works for several months, the broadcaster says. The inspiration for the television series came straight from the neighbourhood. Since 2004, "Gutes Wedding, schlechtes Wedding" has been performed at the Prime Time Theater, on Müllerstraße between Leopoldplatz and Wedding S-Bahn station, five times a week as a long-running piece. By now there are more than 100 episodes.
