A brave new world: no rubbish, no returning deposit bottles, an endless supply of pure water. That is what it could look like once the new BRITA water bar moves into people's homes. That this life is delightful is something Deborah Müller makes us believe in the five new commercials for the BRITA water bar. She sings of the joy of it, she talks with a turtle about how much waste it spares the oceans, and she even manages to convince her sceptical boyfriend that the investment is worth it. For he is against it at first and prefers to carry the deposit bottles to the supermarket. But when he ends up caught in the reverse-vending machine himself, he comes home a changed man and agrees to buying the water bar. "The commercial is very comedic, with lots of wit and charm. I love playing scenes like that." To be cast for this elaborately staged commercial, Deborah Müller put in plenty of work beforehand. For the e-casting she had to learn the script of all five spots by heart. "I'm very meticulous when it comes to my work, because I want the casting directors to be convinced straight away. Sometimes I try things out all day, film, edit and then add music underneath until it's right. Since I've already shot more than 20 commercials, I know pretty exactly what's wanted." The effort paid off, because as early as the recall it was clear that Deborah Müller was the right one. All that remained was to find a suitable acting partner. In Christian Stock they found the perfect match. He is the ultimate tech fan, who can get excited about a drone and swears by robotic quality when it comes to cleaning. The bubbling water bar ultimately makes their shared happiness complete. The two of them and their water bar are on air from 5 June!
