The New Wühlmäuse Ensemble

The New Wühlmäuse Ensemble

Premiere at the "Die Wühlmäuse" theatre today, 1 September 2017, at 8 pm.

After almost 40 years, the cabaret theatre "Die Wühlmäuse" will once again have an ensemble of its own! With this, resident impresario Dieter Hallervorden fulfils a long-cherished wish. Hallervorden assembled the new ensemble together with Berlin cabaret artist Frank Lüdecke, who is also responsible for the script and direction. At John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, four travellers are stranded on their onward flight to Berlin. Failed start-up entrepreneurs meet unhinged conflict researchers, single mothers meet frustrated investment bankers, and no opportunity to misunderstand one another is left untaken. But then an incredible message arrives from the Federal Chancellery. And suddenly things take an entirely different turn... What role does Islam play in our society? And what role does alcohol play in German politics? Does the intellect still stand a chance? In Donald Trump's head, perhaps? "Verflogene Gesellschaft" is a turbulent broadside of convictions and contrasts, a cabaret insight into modern society between integration and fake news. The performers are the actors/cabaret artists Birthe Wolter, Mathias Harrebye-Brandt, Santina Maria Schrader, Robert Louis Griesbach.
