Small roles deserve to be played, too. In the German premiere of the otherwise two-hander "Das Huhn auf dem Rücken" at the Komödie im Winterhuder Fährhaus, a third character appears shortly before the finale: Harald Effenberg, who, according to the Hamburger Abendblatt, "stands there in pyjamas beneath a yellow Frisian oilskin and with a Berlin lip, delivering further comic surprises."
This review comes as no surprise to us, for Harald Effenberg has long been a byword for fine comedy — whether in quiet tones or full-throttle, though even the latter never feels like too much.
Harald simply always finds exactly the right measure to entertain his audience most deliciously.
