Christoph Brüggemann at the Winterhuder Fährhaus from 24 May

The small but distinguished section of the Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg is called "Theater Kontraste", and here more than boulevard fare is on offer. On 24 May the play "Die Firma dankt" returns to the programme, having run very successfully last year, and you can see it through to 5 July.

Press reviews

"Theater Kontraste … once again hits the bull's-eye. … In Meike Harten's staging, [Krusenstern's] struggle against job loss and fear for the future becomes a psychological war that grips the audience too. Celebrated amid an outstanding ensemble: Konstantin Graudus as Krusenstern." Hamburger Morgenpost. "'Die Firma dankt' is gripping, stirring theatre." Bild Hamburg. "…moving, comic and tragic: Konstantin Graudus…" Hamburger Abendblatt. "In Meike Harten's staging, the five-strong ensemble plays as if cast from a single mould." Hamburger Wochenblatt. "The successful playwright Hübner once again turns to the oddities of our society, which are more real and topical than an assistant in flip-flops might at first suggest. The marvellous ensemble does the rest, as the well-earned cries of 'bravo' from the audience attest." Szene Hamburg.
