On Wednesday in Munich the „Blauer Panther“ will be presented — honoured for her directing work is the writer and director Caroline Link, who staged her wonderful ensemble, which includes CARLA HÜTTERMANN and ELLA LEE, in impressive fashion.
The jury's reasoning: “The plot revolves around two child psychologists, yet the real tension lies not in the storyline but in the children's reactions to their questions. […] No other series on German television currently engages so skilfully with the subject of mental health, or directs its performers so brilliantly. Caroline Link's work is a masterpiece of the director's craft and therefore deserves the prize for Best Direction 2023.“
Caroline Link's comment on the award: „I am absolutely thrilled with this directing prize, which I would never have received without the great empathy of my young performers.“
