In Wiesbaden, "Bis in die Seele ist mir kalt" won the main prize for the ORF Landkrimi, along with a special prize for Linde Prelog as Best Actress.
On Kevin Brand's role: Mario is unemployed, still lives with his mother and is marked by a lack of prospects that he is fond of drowning in alcohol. He effectively embodies the entire mood of the film. Bleakness and desolation, paired with moments of unforced, cold humour, make him appear endearing yet at the same time lost and pitiable. He falls under suspicion of having something to do with the murders.
