It is a social taboo and yet no rare phenomenon: porn addiction. In her short film "So sehr", director and screenwriter Jorinde Weinmann has a young couple live through the consequences of this addiction in all their unsparing harshness. They fall a long way, for the film begins in those innocent, love-borne moments of first moving in together and of pure happiness. Bit by bit, cracks appear in the supposedly perfect world, and Barbro Nina Viefhaus, in the role of the addict's girlfriend, cannot keep her eyes closed to the truth for long. "It awakened the whole pot of emotions in me. Anger, despair, love, hatred. It was all in there." How do you cope when you have to watch yourself lose your partner piece by piece? Between the two performers an intense interplay arises, a struggle for their relationship and their former love, while at the same time they are hopelessly at the mercy of the addiction. "We shot for five days from morning till night, just the two of us actors, the director, the camera and the sound. It was incredibly intense. In the evenings it was not easy for me to go home and switch off, even though I had professional distance from the role. But the subject got to me," recounts Barbro Nina Viefhaus. With this stirring piece of directing, Jorinde Weinmann hopes to earn a place at a German film school. As soon as the film is finished in mid-February, it is also to be submitted to festivals and thereby, hopefully, reach a wide audience.
