She wants to go out, he wants to chill at home. She orders steak, he orders salad. She's up for it, he has a headache. "Rollentausch" by Bullshit TV makes possible what the usual man-woman clichés would otherwise have the other way round. Aylin Werner and Chris improvise the scenes so brilliantly that for a moment you completely forget that this isn't how it's supposed to be. Well, at least not in the normally ordered world. "We sat down beforehand and thought about which typical problems and themes in relationships between men and women came to mind, and which ones lent themselves particularly well to the role swap. We deliberately played on clichés, of course, but often that's just how it is." Without a script or any guidelines, Aylin and Chris let their male and female feelings run free. One accusation after another comes flying out; he is offended, she no longer understands the world, they talk completely at cross purposes. And both do this with such naturalness that they need only one run-through before "Rollentausch" is in the can. The idea for this shoot came about just as spontaneously and quickly as it was then over again. Aylin Werner and the comedy trio from Bullshit TV had just been filming together for a new Pantaleon web series, due to be seen on YouTube Red from the autumn. Because the chemistry was right and they performed well together, Christos Manazidis, alias Chris, wanted to seize the moment and record a new Bullshit TV video with Aylin. Online, where the videos are published, the result went through the roof. "People liked the video so many times and racked their brains over whether I was now Chris's new girlfriend. Very funny." The video resonates above all with women. For some, the world is turned on its head — and not only in "Rollentausch". "The frightening thing is that some men these days really are just like the way Chris portrays it." Another woman has it even worse. She outs herself: "The sad thing is.... that's exactly the relationship between me and my ex... I feel masculine." Well then, bon appétit! Let's enjoy the brilliant improvisation by Aylin and Chris while it's still art and not devastating reality. Where would that leave us, after all.
