Since childhood, Strong Hans has shared a deep friendship with Princess Sarah (Bianca Nawrath). Even then, the two became acquainted with the dark forces of the forbidden enchanted forest, ruled by the Keeper of the Air Spirits. She does everything in her power to keep her forest quiet and untouched by humans. Long after Sarah and Hans have grown up, the brave princess sets off into the feared forest: she is determined to find out for herself why the spring that is vital to her village has run dry. Strong Hans, who longs to head out into the world, gets wind of her perilous undertaking. He breaks off his journey and sets out on Sarah's trail. Meanwhile, Duke Egbert senses his chance: he has long wished to take Princess Sarah as his wife — and has struck a sinister pact with the Keeper of the Air Spirits…
